Cutting edge software
I use cutting edge, production proven, 3d software and render engines such as modo 302 and Maxwell Render. This provides the potential for a fast turn-around together with the ability to produce very high quality images. I also create my own script plug-ins that extend existing software to meet specific needs, some of which are commercially available.
Multi-pass Rendering and HDR (linear) work-flow
I use multi-pass rendering (diffuse, reflection, shadow density, etc.) combined with High Dynamic Range (HDR) output to give the maximum flexibility and control when creating digital images.. In addition to providing you with the final images (beauty pass) I can also provide layered PSD or layered openEXR(32 bit) files. Using a linear workflow presverves as much information as possible in the image giving maximum creative control during post-production e.g. tone-mapping.
Drawing Formats
I accept design drawings (and 3d models) in a range of formats. Usually we prefer to get the native format used for the original design. For example, if we receive a .PDF of a plan of a house, then we have to re-draw it prior to starting work on the 3d models, which takes both time and money, Whereas, working from the original format such as .DWG is much faster.
Here's a list of the main formats we accept.
- 2d drawings: DWG, DXF and PDF. Sketches will also be accepted for some types of project.
- 3d models: LXO, LWO, OBJ, DXF, FBX, MXS and Collada.
Protecting your designs and data
You right to protect your designs is important to us, so all client data held locally is encrypted on-the-fly using advanced AES 256-bit encryption. Thus, in the unlikely event of computer theft you can be assured that your designs will not be accessible.
In addition, any removable media (DVD etc.) that is sent to you will also use the same encryption. Note, you will not need to install or use anything special to access the information, as entering a password is all that's required to access such files.
